Synthesis and Characterization of Bismuth Ferrite–Nickel Ferrite Nanocomposite

Abstract:
A chemical route was used to synthesize the nanocomposite of perovskite bismuth ferrite and inverse spinel nickel ferrite. The thermal behaviour and crystallization formation zone of nanocrystalline nanocomposites were identified by DSC-TGA. XRD was used to verify the formed respective phases of nanocrystalline composite materials along with measurement of the crystallite size using Scherrer’s formula. Morphology and microstructure were observed by FESEM and HRTEM, while EDX data supported composite formation by analyzing the presence of the required elements within the entire matrix system. HRTEM analysis revealed structural formation, and d-values of the synthesized phases of the nanocomposite material were calculated. Stretching and bending vibration values of bonds of metal–oxygen coordination were obtained by using FTIR for required nanocomposites, verifying the formation of perovskite spinel nanocomposite materials.
